Newcastle United win away at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea in the Premier League.

Newcastle took the lead in the 18th minute – 'The Magpies' went ahead when Tino Livramento's through ball found Joe Willock in the centre, and the midfielder sprinted into the box before cutting a pass across to Anthony Gordon on the left side of Chelsea's box. Gordon took one touch before stroking the ball into the back of an empty net.
Aaron Ramsdale was absolutely fantastic and Chelsea could not score past him.
Newcastle United finally won on soil where they had not tasted victory since 2012.
Fresh from the Champions League
Both teams had played in the UEFA Champions League midweek – Newcastle drew 1–1 with Barcelona at St James’ Park, while Chelsea suffered a 5–2 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe made six changes compared to Tuesday evening, with Gordon fit enough to start and Livramento lining up against his former club; record signing Nick Woltemade also returned.
10' – Wesley Fofana headed narrowly over the crossbar. Chelsea skipper Reece James swung in his second corner in quick succession and picked out his team-mate near the penalty spot, but Fofana's header landed on the top of the net.
14' – Cole Palmer shot wide. Chelsea's playmaker slipped away from his marker on the edge of the area and scuffed a shot past the left-hand post. A clean contact could have seen him open the scoring.
34' – After playing a big role in the opener, Willock almost scored a second. He raced past Marc Cucurella and from the right byline drove an angled shot toward the top-right corner, but Robert Sanchez tipped it away.
37' – Ramsdale denied Palmer. After Cucurella and Moises Caicedo combined outside the area, Palmer curled a shot toward the left side of goal, but Ramsdale dived across to parry it away.
45+3' – Sanchez made a sharp reflex stop. Jacob Ramsey poked an 18-yard shot that took a big deflection, but the Spanish goalkeeper swatted it away.
Halftime
48' – Ramsdale denied Liam Delap. After Palmer ran into traffic, Delap forced his way into a shooting position, but his attempt toward the bottom-right corner was parried away.
63' – Palmer fell in the area near the right byline. Woltemade lunged in but made no contact, and VAR agreed with the referee – play continued.
70' – Set up by Willock again, Gordon curled a 20-yard shot toward the top-right corner, but Sanchez flew up to palm it away and kept Chelsea in the game.
75' – Cucurella met a superb James cross and set up Delap, but the substitute striker blazed over from around 10 yards out.
79' – !Under pressure from Ramsdale and Malick Thiaw, Trevoh Chalobah headed narrowly wide after meeting a cross from the left.
86' – Delap glanced a header wide of the left-hand post after timing his run to meet Palmer’s cross.
90+3' – Chelsea came close to a late equaliser. After Joelinton fouled Palmer around 25 yards out, James struck a dipping free-kick toward the bottom-right corner, but it clipped the post and went wide as Newcastle held on.
