Newcastle United face a trip to the Midlands on Saturday evening to take on Aston Villa in an FA Cup fourth-round tie, with both teams looking to progress to the last 32.

Off the back of a hard-fought 2–1 away win at Spurs on Tuesday night, Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has some tough decisions to make following several excellent individual performances at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
With that in mind, here is how ‘The Magpies’ could line up on Saturday evening against ‘The Villans’.
Goalkeeper – Aaron Ramsdale
Nick Pope remains Howe’s first choice in goal.
However, with this being a cup game, there is a strong chance we could see Aaron Ramsdale start between the sticks.
For that reason, I am going with Newcastle’s number 32.

Right-Back – Kieran Trippier
Although Trippier hasn’t given Newcastle fans much confidence defensively in recent weeks, ongoing injury issues at right-back make him the clear favourite to start under Eddie Howe.
Centre-Back – Malick Thiaw
An absolute colossus at the back - there is no doubt he starts on Saturday.
Centre-Back – Sven Botman
After finding his way back into the starting XI over the last couple of months following Dan Burn’s injury, his partnership with Thiaw has been a joy to watch.
A guaranteed starter!

Left-Back – Lewis Hall
After managing to get some vital rest on Tuesday night, there is every possibility we see Hall start, especially given his brilliant form in recent weeks.
Central Defensive Midfield – Sandro Tonali
Although Sandro hasn’t quite hit the heights of the last couple of seasons, there is no question he is a massive part of how Newcastle play.
His ability to dictate play and make defensive recoveries is second to none.
He absolutely starts if fit.
Central Midfield – Jacob Ramsey
Newcastle’s new signing Jacob Ramsey picked up his first goal for the club in midweek.
With doubts surrounding Bruno Guimarães after he was substituted late against Tottenham, there is every chance Ramsey gets his second start in as many games.

Central Midfield – Joe Willock
Given the injuries to Joelinton and Bruno Guimarães in particular, the ‘Geordies’ lack creativity and physical presence in midfield.
Willock had a fantastic game a few days ago, with his opening goal ruled marginally offside.
He later recovered by delivering a fantastic inswinging cross for Thiaw, who found the back of the net.
Based on his recent form, Joe Willock should be in the starting XI.
Left Wing – Anthony Gordon
After playing as a number nine in midweek, Gordon could be shifted back to his favoured position on the left flank.

Right Wing – Anthony Elanga
Jacob Murphy started last weekend but had a very quiet first half and was substituted at the break for Elanga.
The Swede then went on to start at Spurs and delivered a decent performance.
It is very likely that he starts at Villa Park.
Striker – Nick Woltemade
After Yoane Wissa struggled at home to Brentford and did not feature in midweek, Woltemade could be the preferred option for the number nine role.
