Potential Line-up: Tottenham Hotspur vs Newcastle United

Tottenham Hotspur host Newcastle United under the lights tonight in the Premier League, with both sides coming into the fixture under pressure following a run of poor form.

By Liam Rafferty

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has some big decisions to make, particularly with injuries continuing to disrupt his squad.

With that in mind, this is how 'The Magpies' could line up against 'Spurs' this evening.

Goalkeeper: Nick Pope

Pope remains Newcastle’s clear first-choice goalkeeper, so there’s no real reason to drop him in favour of Aaron Ramsdale.

Right-back: Kieran Trippier

Trippier has struggled in recent weeks and, if Tino Livramento were fit, there’d be little chance of him starting.

Howe is still awaiting news on Lewis Miley, and there’s a possibility he could be used at right-back if deemed fit enough.

Centre-back: Malick Thiaw

Undroppable at the moment.

Centre-back: Dan Burn

Sven Botman started against Brentford and even got on the scoresheet, but with the heavy fixture schedule, Burn could come back into the side tonight.

Left-back: Lewis Hall

Like Thiaw, Hall is undroppable.

Central Defensive Midfield: Sandro Tonali

He hasn’t quite reached the standards he set last season, but tonight presents a perfect opportunity to remind supporters just how good a player he is.

Central Midfield: Bruno Guimarães

Like Thiaw and Hall, Guimarães is undroppable.

Central Midfield: Jacob Ramsey

I’d expect Ramsey to start ahead of Joe Willock, who struggled to make an impact against Brentford.

Left Wing: Harvey Barnes

With Anthony Gordon currently sidelined - despite the club awaiting a late injury update - Barnes looks set to start on the left.

Right Wing: Anthony Elanga

Jacob Murphy started last time out but was quiet, so Elanga could be handed the start tonight.

Striker: Nick Woltemade

Yoane Wissa was very poor against Brentford and can’t be trusted to start again here, making Woltemade the likely option up front.
